PARABLE OF THE TWO EMPLOYEES

A certain manager had two employees. He came to the first, and said, ‘Go work today on my project.’ He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he repented, and did.
He came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I will, sir!’ but did not.
Whether of the two did the will of his manager?”
The first employee got a poor annual review for failing to support his manager, even if projects were completed in a timely fashion.
The second employee was promoted to management for the ready support of his manager, even if it meant projects were incomplete or delayed.
