Printing “AJ the Frog” on our Dremel Digilab 3D45:
For the past few years, I’ve been using an XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3-in-1 Printer to do 3D scanning, 3D printing, and laser etching but it was a tedious process.Β While I enjoy 3D printing, I spent as much time doing calibrating, leveling, and printer maintenance as I did printing.Β I vowed that our next printer would have auto-calibration, auto-leveling, and a heated enclosure to control temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions of our filaments and printed objects.
I’m quite happy and thankful to say that we now have a new Dremel Digilabs 3D45 printer with a number of ABS, PLA, and Nylon filaments in a variety of colors and materials.Β I can now print in most colors, translucent/clear or opaque, and metallics (gold, silver, copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, …)
As an experiment for family, friends, and co-workers I’m documenting and sharing my efforts as HOW-TO: Cloud-Shared 3D Printing so that anyone (that has a GMail account, mailing address, and mutual trust) can access and print from our Dremel 3D45.
Please feel free to read, critique, or use our documentation and printer! πβοΈ
