Interviewing last week, I was told a great line that I need to remember: “Some people have 20 years of experience, other people have 1 year of experience 20 times over.”

We were talking about personal and professional growth, and how some people are content to repeat themselves whereas others are genuinely interested in becoming old-and-wise sages.

During the same conversation, it was said “We (the IT industry as a whole) use the title Senior like we use the title Adult. Can you do your job? Can you be depended upon to meet the commitments you make? Congrats, you’re a Senior.”
